From 1959 till 2000 a two door car was manufactured by a British car manufacturer BMC (British Motor Corporation) which is now occupied by BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke).Original make of this car is MINI which was considered a legendary icon in 1960’s.
In late 90’s BMW MINI was named the second most powerful and dominating vehicle of the century. This classy vehicle was produced in England at Cowley and Longbridge plants.
At start Mini was sold and promoted under the name of Austin and Morris as Austin Seven and Morris Mini-Minor. In 1969 Mini distinct from specific mode but was promoted again under the name of Austin in 1980’s.
Mini was introduced in total six generations which are Mark-I (1959-67), Mark-II (1967-70), Mark-III (1970-76), Mark-IV (1976-84), Mark V (1984-90) and Mark-VI (1990-2000).
From 1959 to 1967 in Mark I, Mini had three major UK updates in its production named Mini Cooper (1961), Austin Cooper S (1964) and Morris Mini-Traveler (1966).
In Mark-II it received some minor modifications and changes and was sold as Austin and Morris Mini in most markets. In Mark-III mini introduced a big range of vehicles with classy Mini engines and updates including Pickup trucks, Estate cars, Vans, Mini Moke and Jeeps.
The Mark-IV was launched in 1976 introduced first time larger bushes in the rear frame. Mark-V was launched in 1984 and Mark-VI was introduced in 1990. Till 2000 Mini launched so many masterpieces that undoubtedly ruled several years not only on roads but also on automobile world as well.
In 2001 when BMW launched its first model of Mini it was designed and shaped liked recent past models of Mini. Under the name of BMW, Mini became more popular in automobile world and was admired world wide.
In 2011, Mini was declared as incarnate of BMW’s cute sibling and most reliable car. BMW takes its reputation to the new level by electrifying it.
